How to Remove Armpit Stains

Old sweat stains on the underarm of a white dress shirt can be slightly embarrassing at times, but a little pre-treatment with full strength Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner goes a long way in lifting those tough yellow stains from your favorite shirts and blouses. Stains don't appear overnight, so it's best to pre-treat the underarms of shirts on a regular basis to prevent yellowing. It also works great with Simple Green Laundry Detergent.

Directions:

When in doubt about an item of clothing, always spot test the material first in a place that won't be visible.

  1. Dampen the article of clothing with warm water.
  2. Pre-treat the stain by spraying it with full strength Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner.
  3. Scrub with a soft brush, old toothbrush or by gently rubbing with a finger will help penetrate fabric and agitate yellow armpit stains.
  4. Wash as usual. Check the stain before drying and repeat treatment as needed to further lift yellow sweat stains.
