How to Clean Mirrors Without Streaks

Mirrors are notoriously easy to smudge and streak, and improper cleaning technique can worsen the problem. Using a standard circular cleaning motion can actually redeposit dust, dirt and oils from your cleaning cloth back onto the surface of the mirror, leaving cloudiness and streaks.

Spraying cleaner directly on the mirror can actually allow it to seep behind the silver coating and create black tarnish marks.

Simple Green Professional Grade Glass Cleaner uses a non-toxic and biodegradable formula that is a safer alternative to ammonia and harsh synthetic chemicals.

For best results, use on cool surfaces.

  1. Create cleaning mixture. Mix ½ cup of Simple Green Professional Grade Glass Cleaner into 1 ½ cups of water in a spray bottle.
  2. Apply cleaner to cloth. Spray Simple Green Professional Grade Glass Cleaner on a dry microfiber cloth.
  3. Wipe mirror. Wipe in a tight S-pattern from top to bottom.
  4. Dry. Use a dry microfiber cloth to dry, and buff for a streak-free finish.
