Simple Green & The EGBAR Foundation Celebrate Earth Day 2008
Huntington Beach, CA - Sunshine Makers, Inc. is proud to report its continued support of the EGBAR Foundation with the 12th Annual EGBAR Foundation Golf Tournament in Irvine, California on Thursday, April 24th. It will be day of sunshine and camaraderie on the golf course, and also the most significant fund raising event of the year for the Foundation. All of the proceeds this year will benefit the Los Angeles Conservation Corps, to support the many community outreach and conservation programs they coordinate. One of those programs is the SEA Lab in Redondo Beach, CA, which offers free and low-cost education programs and activities to more than 30,000 visitors every year. College-aged students trained by the LACC lead the tours and activities which include a touch-tank, hands-on classroom lessons and community service projects. The SEA Lab is also the home of the USS EGBAR, an interactive education and entertainment program built and funded by Sunshine Makers Inc./Simple Green, housed in a unique submarine themed kiosk. Its mission is to help all visitors of the SEA Lab understand how improper waste disposal harms the environment, and how to be environmentally responsible through proper recycling and conservation.
Sunshine Makers, Inc. is proud of its continued support of the EGBAR Foundation and its work to educate children throughout the world about the importance of protecting the environment. Today, Sunshine Makers, Inc. - celebrates over 30 years of Environmental Leadership. By supporting and sponsoring our partners for environmental intelligence, we are creating a synergy where the result of our individual actions is greater than the sum of the whole. The EGBAR Foundation was established in 1989 by Bruce P. FaBrizio, CEO and Chairman of Sunshine Makers, Inc. to clearly demonstrate the corporation’s steadfast commitment towards environmental issues; Sunshine Makers, Inc. contributes a percentage of its annual sales of Simple Green product to the EGBAR Foundation. EGBAR is an acronym for Everything’s Gonna Be All Right. The Foundation’s goals are: to educate children throughout the world about the importance of protecting the environment, create greater awareness of community environmental clean-up needs, challenge all segments of the community to be responsive to these needs, and to raise funds to effect action on projects that address these needs. The EGBAR Foundation is ultimately a vehicle for change, whose primary function is to create an appreciably cleaner environment - one wall, one park, one neighborhood, and one community at a time.
