Our Social Responsibility

The Simple Green family believes in community and striving toward greener living every day. As a family, we participate in numerous neighborhood clean-ups each year, and we all take measures to be greener at home and at work. Last year, we challenged our staff even further with a personal eco-challenge. For one year, all Simple Green employees made conscious, daily effort toward a greener lifestyle — some rode their bicycles to work, some changed out landscaping to be more drought-tolerant, some started recycling programs at home, some did volunteer work in their communities, and some replaced old energy-consuming appliances — the results have been fantastic. Collectively, the Simple Green family has significantly reduced energy usage (10,000 kilowatts saved), reduced waste (15,000 plastic and glass bottles recycled), reduced water consumption (150,000 gallons saved), committed volunteer hours (1500 volunteer hours donated) and reduced carbon-producing actions like driving a car (2,000 gallons fuel saved). Being a good corporate citizen starts with just being a good citizen. At Simple Green, we do both!

Simple Green strives to make a difference in the world — through better, safer cleaning products, and through charitable giving. We have participated in hundreds of charitable events over the years, including the Coastal Commission Beach Clean Up events held through the United States, local beach, park and nature preserve clean-ups, celebrating Earth Day each year; and the EGBAR Golf Tournament benefitting Simple Green’s EGBAR Foundation. The EGBAR Foundation was founded in 1989 by Bruce FaBrizio, the President of Simple Green. EGBAR is an acronym for Everything’s Gonna Be All Right. The foundation’s mission is to provide educational opportunities that teach children about the environment and how to care for it. Funds also support community clean-up projects, and most recently, partnerships with preservation and educational facilities like The SEA Lab Redondo beach, CA. These partners also focus on improving children’s understandings of environmental issues and supports actions toward improving the environment around us. The EGBAR Foundation has reached over 1.5 million children in the 18 years it has been in existence. Simple Green and the EGBAR Foundation remind everyone to “Think Globally, Act Locally.”
